Hunting Mariah is here!

My dear and talented friend, Janice Spina, has just published her first novel. I'm celebrating with her taking part in her blog hop to share the news about her amazing book!

Hi everyone! I am very excited to announce that my first novel,  Hunting Mariah, is now published on Create Space. My husband, John, created the beautiful cover!
Hunting Mariah is now on Amazon for paperback and coming soon to Kindle in five days and other sites in 6-8 weeks. I will post the link here and on my website and to FB, Twitter and other sites.
I have already been interviewed on Fiona McVie’s blog which I re-blogged recently where I talked a little about my new novel. I will also be on Nina Soden’s blog on October 27th where she will interview me also. After reading all the interviews and posts about me over the next month you may get to know everything about me. Alas, I will keep some things private. Ha! More interviews and visits to other blogs coming up over the next month.
There are more than a dozen friends, supporters and followers who have offered to spread the word about Hunting Mariah. Bless them all – they are wonderful people and are my support system. I couldn’t do this without them.
This Book Blog Tour has officially begun and will continue through November 24th. I will have a giveaway on Goodreads.  Stay tuned for more and please like all the blogs where you see me to help support my friends.
Here is a synopsis of my first novel:
An insane killer, obsessed with blood and death, seeks revenge with those he perceives wronged him. He is now on the loose. His next victim may be Mariah. During his rampages he writes macabre poems for his victims.
Mariah has lost her memory. Will she remember what has transpired in her past? Can Mariah escape the deadly killer’s grasp? Will she finally be safe? Will the killer be apprehended?
Let me tell you a little about how I came up with this book and how long it took me to complete.  I don’t know why this story came to me but it did and I just had to write it down. It started as a romantic mystery but then evolved into a crime/mystery/thriller.
When I write a story the title always comes to me first. The story flows as I sit down at my laptop from my fingertips. Don’t ask me how, it just does. The characters take on a life and tell their own story as I type. This particular character, the killer, was quite frightening to me. I would look behind me a lot to make sure he wasn’t watching me! I am careful at night and don’t walk alone! Lol! He seemed so real as did the other characters. Once the story is completed and I publish it, it leaves me alone.
This story was started over twenty years ago but sat without being published. I was still working at the time and didn’t have time to work on it. I knew at that time it was not ready and the story was scattered and not what I wanted it to be. I knew I needed to work at it some more but didn’t get a chance until I retired four years ago. So, you could say it took me 24 years to complete! Wow, if my next novel takes that long I won’t be around to publish it! LOL!
I do have three other novels in draft and outline forms which should go a lot faster than this one. I can’t wait to get them out to you over the next two years.
I hope you will check out my book and let me know what you think. Did the killer scare you as much as he did me? Please leave a kind review on Amazon, BN, Goodreads, Create Space or any other place you may purchase it. It would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, I almost forgot something very important – please do not give the ending away to anyone for it would ruin the story for the next person.
Thank you so much for your support and kindness.
REMEMBER: READING GIVES YOU WINGS TO FLY!
Blessings!

  9. Hi Jenn,
Yes, I've heard of people getting the titles first like my friend Janice does. Once in a while that happens to me with my books, but not often.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
