It's time to celebrate again so here's my list for the week:
- My gifted author friend, Janice Spina, sent me her enchanting book, Louey the Lazy Elephant. He's so adorable. I hope you all stop by Amazon, or Janice's website: www.jemsbooks.wordpress.com to meet him! Here's where you can see him on Amazon:

- Our son, Brendan, celebrated his ninth "Legaversary" on Aug. 4. He was involved in a serious accident 9 years ago, which required complicated surgery on both broken legs. I always tell him to be especially careful on his Legaversary so it's an uneventful day. His legs are fine now so we're all blessed.
- Kandy Kay Scaramuzzo has been kind enough to send me her book, Pie an Old Brown Horse (who knows what he's doing) for review. I'm looking forward to inteviewing Pie and Kandy, especially for my Kid's Korner page. I understand that Pie loves kids.
- I thank everyone who stops by to find out what we're up to and wish you all a wonderful weekend with lots to cheer about.
Happy Legaversary to Brendan! Glad his legs are fine now, that's definitely something to celebrate :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear your son's legs are doing good! How tragic at the time!!! Love children's books!! Can't wait for grandchildren to start reading to them!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Catherina. It was very scary at the time. It was about a 7 hr. surgery and lots of recovery time. It helped a lot that we had an excellent doctor and that my husband is a physical therapist so he gave Brendan lots of treatments.
DeleteI love that you celebrate your son's legaversary! Sometimes an uneventful day is the best kind! I'm so glad that you got through such a difficult time and that he's okay now. What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nicole, I always send him a cute little e-card and he reports to me that it was an uneventful Legversary! He has a great attitude and that helped a lot with the healing process.
DeleteCongratulations, and I'm looking forward to your joining Insecure Writer's Support Group.
ReplyDeleteI expect to have a pretty quiet weekend, and hopefully get lots of critiquing done!
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I"m a little nervous about the Insecure Writers Group, but I like encouraging people so it should be fine. New things always make me a little nervous at first.
DeleteHappy weekend.
I love the title and cover of that book. It sounds adorable. Congrats to your son for taking care and getting better. Writer’s Mark
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nancy, Janice is really gifted and her book is darling. I wrote a review for it on Amazon. Thank so much for stopping by to comment! I love reading your replies. Yes, we're ever so thankful that Brendan is okay now. He's exceptionally brave and the best patient ever!
ReplyDeleteSuch a very cute cover! Sounds like a delightful book. I'm for any story to do with elephants. I'm so glad your son is doing well. That had to be an incredibly traumatic experience for him.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for stopping by and commenting, Rossandra! So nice to meet you. Anyone would love Louey. The author's husband did the illustrations and they are so cute! Thank you for the good wishes regarding out son. It was a horrific accident, but we are so blessed that he recovered well. He's going to be thrilled to know his Legaversary was featured on my blog! D
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful weekend.
I am glad his legaversary was uneventful and that he is doing well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, VikLit. We are so grateful that he is doing well, too. Have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Legaversary to Brendan :D
ReplyDeleteCongrats on receiving the books, always a good reason to celebrate!
Hi Katherine,
DeleteI missed you. Hope your vacation was fun. The books were fun and so was the new interview with Pie, an old brown horse! He's really cute and very wise. Hope you have time to stop by and read it sometime. I just posted it last night.
