Tails of Sweetbrier wins the Silver Medal!

I'm thrilled and honored to announce my true story, Tails of Sweetbrier, has won the silver medal in the Reader's Favorite Book Contest, young adult division.  In October, a news release will be out about the award.
Here is a quote from the beginning of the book:

Have you ever really wanted to do something but you came across a roadblock of some kind. Maybe you're afraid of new things or maybe you have a physical challenge. Are you going to follow your dream or are you going to push it aside without even trying? I made that choice once and it changed my whole life.

As you may imagine, I want my story to inspire other children to follow their dreams. They can win, even against the odds.
Here is the closing statement:
"You have the power to make your dreams come true so reach for them and don't accept anything less!"
