Interview with the adorable Chickie from Chickie and the Great Barnyard Benefit










Today, I’m talking with my new friend, Chickie. He’s the star of the book by my friend, Bee Urabazo. I see Chickie’s all ready for our chat so we’ll get started.
Deanie: Chickie, I’m thrilled you’re spending time to talk with me today about your book, Chickie and the Great Barnyard Benefit.
Chickie:  Chickie happy to be here. Everyone should read about my story. I’m a baby chick but Chickie tell you about the story so people take it home.
Deanie: Tell us a little about your book, Chickie:  Chickie story starts when he meets Papa Tony and Chickie -Mama Lorren. Papa Tony finds Chickie when he lost in big rainstorm. Chickie very scared, but then Chickie-Mama makes little shirts and things for Chickie. He love Chickie-Mama.
Do you make new friends?  Yes, Chickie make lots friends like the nice birds, named Kind and Hoodie, a pony named Snoots and even a Kangaroo Rat named Scampi Scamps Scamparelli. Then there is Derek Lambcelot. He not nice most of the time. My friends have big trouble when a big storm comes. Chickie friend, Kind, makes plan to help our friends. She plan talent show for all animals. We excited about the show and we work hard. Chickie surprise in the end. Chickie win!
Deanie :Do you have pictures in your story, Chickie?
Chickie: Yes, lots pretty pictures by Martina Terzi and Maddelena Carrai.
Last question, Chickie: What happens when you are upset with someone?
Chickie: Chickie turn and show mean people nubby tail.
Deanie: Great idea, Chickie.
Deanie: Your story sounds adorable, Chickie. We don’t want to tell all the things that happen in your book but I think children and families will love it. Thank you for talking about your story, Chickie.
 Chickie:  Deanie very nice lady. Chickie love talking today. Thank you
 You are welcome, Chickie. Papa Tony and Chickie- Mama must be so proud of you.
