- My husband starts a new home health therapy job next week! We're so excited and grateful about it.
- I sent my sister 2 of our books that she's giving to someone as a gift. After it was sent, I discovered that I transposed the first 2 numbers of the zip code. Instead of going to New Mexico, my package went to Texas! I tried for hours to contact the post office to have the package re-routed, but no one answered the phone. Finally, someone at the post office corrected the mistake and Holly will get the package today, yay!
- We had a nice chat with Mom on Skype last week. Happy that she was laughing and cheerful.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

ReplyDeleteGlad the got the books re-directed eventually :)

I'm impressed. You actually reached someone at the post office and they fixed your zip code error? I'm calling you the next time I need to deal with any government agency.
ReplyDeleteNo, C. Lee, usually, someone does answer the phone, but this time no one did. We live in a small town and the postal workers usually do help, but no one answered here, or in the other states. I figured either someone would discover the error I made, or the package would come back here. But fortunately, they fixed it. I do recommend using tracking numbers for packages, though, so you can be sure they''re delivered.
ReplyDeleteI took your advice last month about tracking numbers. It paid off. The package went off to some developing country (not really) but I was able to retrieve it because of that number. Just had to stop back and say thanks.
DeleteSo glad the advice helped, C. Lee! The post office handles so many packages and everything is read by machines, so it's easy for them to miss something and have the package sent to the wrong place. The tracking numbers have helped me on several different occasions.
DeleteI am glad that finally your package will reach your Sister. I had a similar experience except the receiver wasn't available at his house and to receive the returned package I wasn't home. Lot of confusion was going on that time and still have the contents of that package with me only.Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteYes, we're pleased about that Anoosha. I was sure it would come all the way back here. Wishing you a great weekend as well.
ReplyDeleteThat's great that someone at the post office was able to correct the zip code mistake. The Post Office workers in my town have always been very helpful. Now I'm feeling spoiled. =)
ReplyDeleteYes, I was really lucky that they corrected the mistake instead of sending it back. Definitely something to celebrate. Happy weekend and thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteHi, Deanie. So good that you got the zip code error fixed. I would have never thought to call the post office to see if it could be changed. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Susanne, I was really glad they fixed it cause I tried so hard to get it rerouted and that didn't work. I thought it surely would be headed back here. Wishing you a fun weekend, too.
ReplyDeleteHow great that someone at the post office helped out. Like Susanne, I wouldn't have thought to call either!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend. :)
Happy weekend to you, too, Julie. Yes, we're happy that the books are finally safe after all of the confusion.
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful! I've done the exact same thing regarding sending books to a different zipcode, luckily, the postoffice caught it alright! xD

So nice to hear from you, Elizabeth! Thank you for visiting. I was so embarrassed for making the silly mistake and I was sure the package would come all the way back here. D x
