Celebrate the Small Things..

Hi Everyone,
How was your week? I hope you have lots to celebrate. Thank you to Lexa Cain for hosting this blog.
Please check out to see what everyone is cheering about.

Here's what we're celebrating this week:

  • My book, Charlene the Star and Bentley Bulldog is in the semi-finals in a contest. We're very excited about it. If you haven't voted but you'd like to, here's the link:
  •  I"m also a finalist in an essay contest. If you'd like to vote, here's the link:

  • My husband got a new job. He's been looking for a long time. Even though it's not in his field, we're glad he has it.
  • Our son was on an international business trip and he's home safely. Very grateful for that.
  • Be sure to take time to thank all the veterans you know. We wouldn't be a country without them.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

  1. Finalist in contests, new job, and kid safe? That does sound like a most excellent week!

    1. Thank you Tamara. They are really good things to cheer about, I agree. Hope you have a great week.

  2. Those are some pretty epic reasons to celebrate! I've got my toes crossed for you in the contest, and huge congrats to your hubby. It's so much easier to find a job when you're currently employed.

  3. Good luck with your contests, and congratulations to your husband for getting a new job! Have a great weekend :)

  4. I went to the cover contest, but there was no button to vote for your cover and no directions about how to do it. However, the essay poll was easy and I voted for you in that! Yay for your husband's new job and your son's safe trip!

  5. Hi Lexa, thank you so much for voting for my essay. The cover contest has a blue button at the bottom where you vote. Sorry for the confusion.
    Have a great weekend.

  6. Voted for your cover - it has so much warmth about it :) Congratulations on things turning out well in all aspects of your life this week - children (however old) being back safe and sound is always welcome news :)
