Sophie Washington: Lemonade Day" is another great book in the series. This time Sophie and her friends decide to participate in Lemonade Day at school. They find a lot of planning is involved. For example, they need a mentor, so they choose Sophie's Mom. Sophie also needs to assemble a team of helpers. And some of the money they raise must be donated to charity. Sophie's friend, Chloe, wants money donated to the animal shelter where she volunteers. Many unexpected problems occur that the children work together to solve. Even Sophie's little brother contributes by drawing pictures to promote their event. It's a great bookto show readers how to start a business of their own, as well as how to work together as a team. You may also enjoy the recipies at the back of the book for the two flavors of lemonade sold at the event.
I highly recommend this book.
