Celebrate the small things....

Hi everyone, it's time to celebrate again. Be sure to stop by LexaCain. blogspot.com to see what everyone is smiling about this week.
Here's what we're celebrating...

  • One of our sons is on a business trip. Those are busy but fun for him.
  • Our other son is busy enjoying his job and spending time with friends.
  • We drove by the house I grew up in. It has fallen into disrepair but the new owners are fixing it. Our house was a town landmark and we're so happy it will be returned to it's former glory.
Have a great weekend everyone.

  1. The house I grew up in is doing good, mainly because my mom still lives there and she keeps it in pristine shape. Glad yours is getting a nice makeover.

Thanks for the reminder of 9/11-- we must never forget!!!!

    1. Thanks, Cathrina. Our house needs a lot of work but now it's finally getting some attention. It's so pretty. It took the original owner 3 yrs. to build it!

  4. I grew up in four different houses and I can't say I'm interested in any one of them. But I'm glad yours is being repaired. And I agree, never forget! X

  5. It's always hard to drive by old houses and see how they've deteriorated. Good to hear they're restoring it, though!

  6. That's true, Stephanie. It was very sad for us. But now we're feeling much better!

  7. It's so much more interesting to see the old places refurbished and used, than it is to see what they replace them with after tearing them down.

    1. yes, it is. Our house was a well-known town landmark. It would have been sad to tear it down. I'll see if I can find your email and send you a picture of it. Bet you'll love it C. Lee!
