SriKanth Bolla, an inspiration to everyone

SriKanth Bolla is an incredible young man. What would you do if you were born blind in India, where children with disabilites are shunned? His parents believed their child was capable of anything and they instilled that confidence in him. Although his parents were poor, they found ways to help their son acheive remarkable things.

At first, SriKanth's parents sent him to a regular school, but he was ignored and lonely so they put him in a school with other special needs students. SriKanth kept overcoming every obstacle in his path. But his big dream was to become an Engineer and no school in India would admit him, even though he scored 90% on the entrance exams. Instead of becoming discouraged, he applied ot MIT in MA and received a full scholarship!

SriKanth dedicated his talents to helping others. How did he do that? He chose to return to India, where he started his own company with 8 special needs employees. In just four years he employed 450! Seventy percent of the personnel has a disability of some sort.

  1. I'd so love to know this sweet man. Having a disabled son of my own gives me a heart for those who have to struggle harder in life than most.

  2. Dear reader,
Yes, I imagine it's difficult having a disabled child. But I believe many children with disabilities become productive and happy people, who accomplish remarkable things.

  3. They do. When my child was born, doctors told us to place him in an institution and walk away because he'd never be able to walk, talk, etc. Really? Walk away from my baby? NOT an option. Today he has his own apt., job and even a social life provided by an organization that helps people like my boy. He even has a girlfriend and he's a strong Christian man.
