• A new back cover for my book, Charlene the Star and Bentley Bulldog. My friend, Rhonda Patton, did it for me. She's great at any kind of marketing and promotions. She's made beautiful banners for me too. She even put a cute little illustration from the book on the cover. My sister, Holly Humphrys-Bajaj, did the illustration.

Hi everyone,
As you may know, on Fridays we celebrate anything we want. Please be sure to stop by LexaCain.blogspot.com to see how Lexa is getting along. She's endured difficult times.

• This week, my husband attended a church retreat. He really enjoyed it. The speaker stressed how important it is to be grateful. It's something my mom always said, "Be grateful for what you have, dear. She'd especially say that if we weren't wild about what we were having for dinner, or if we wanted whatever clothes were the fad. It's great advice, don't you think? With that in mind I'll concentrate on my many blessings this week.
• Spring hasn't come yet, but today and tomorrow will be warm. Then cold air will pounce on us again, yuck. Hope you have great weather where you and and a fun weekend.

• It's been a difficult week for us. We had to have our very special dog, Elliott, put to sleep after 13.5 years of being our "third son." He was having a great deal of trouble walking and the doctor said it was likely he had tumors. We used to tell our sons it was okay that Elliott didn't look like them because he was adopted. He was the best dog ever and we will forever miss him, but now he can play in Heaven and have fun like he couldn't do here anymore. We will celebrate his life with us.
• My sister and brother-in-law moved far away. We already miss them, but we can still Skype and email.
• We'll celebrate all of you who visit my blogs and website. Where would I be without you?

• We sold our grand caravan, but we will miss him in the winter because he has 4-wheel drive and our Honda doesn't.
• There was a tornado warning not too far from us last night, but no one got hurt. It's very unusual for our area.
• My friend, Charlene's husband is doing much better. He's home from the hospital.

• new things from my sister, who is moving away. I'm really sad she's moving, but she gave us lots of nice things, which we're enjoying.
• One of my friend's husbands is in the hospital. That's nothing to celebrate, but they thought it was a very serious problem and it turned out to be something much easier to fix.

• My sister and brother-in-law returned safely from their vacation. They had a great time and met some nice people.
• One of our sons made the Dean's List. We're so proud of him.
• I'm still waiting for the print copy of my new children's book, but some of you who have been kind enough to offer to review it have given it lovely comments. We're expecting it this week.
• We have 3 great endorsements of the new book for the back cover.  Big thank you to the people who wrote them.
• Wilbur, our little lawn tractor woke up after his long winter's nap and worked hard to mow the grass last weekend for the first time this year. We love Wilbur.
• We had a freak accident last week and one of my teeth got broken,but our dentist fixed it up better than new.
• A visit and pizza party with our younger son.

Hi Everyone,
It's Friday again so we get to celebrate anything we want. Hop on over to LexaCain.blogspot.com to see what she and her blogging partners have to say.
 Here's what we're celebrating this week:

• I'm waiting for the printed proof of my new book, My Life at Sweetbrier-A Life Changed by Horses, to come in the mail. Once we check it for any necessary changes, we'll be ready to set a release date. A huge thank you to the three people who wrote amazing endorsements for the back cover.
• My sister and brother-in-law had a fun vacation. They'll be home tonight.
• One of our son's friends is adopting a young dog from the same rescue place where he got his little dog, George. Our son is going to meet the little dog this weekend. He's really looking forward to it.
• Our other son is nearly finished with school for the year. He has one more final. We're so proud of his grades and his dedication to his job and schoolwork.
• A little shopping spree using a gift card from our amazing sons.
