Wilbur wanted to make some new friends so he's pleased to display is new ad and some excerpts from reviews.

"an engaging picture book for toddler and preschool-age children.
This heartwarming story teaches children about friendship, patience, trust, and openness to change and new things in life
Change is hard, and Wilbur is anxious as new people come to meet him, especially when they are unkind. Change is hard for many people, especially children. This exceptional book shows children that it is ok to be worried, it is normal, and finding ways to deal with strong emotions is key.
author includes at the end a list of quiz questions to open up discussions with children on these important topics.
Illustrators Wanda L. Urabazo and Holly Humphrys-Bajaj use strong colors and bold lines to portray the excitement and emotions of the characters. Their creative portrayals will engage children as they listen to this meaningful story.

This is an excellent resource for teachers, parents, and caregivers looking for a fun and lighthearted way to introduce the concept of friendship and change."~Literary Titan Reviews

"This educational and entertaining children's book will teach young kids that is possible to say goodbye in a sensitive and caring manner. Properly managed, separations can become another reassuring affirmation instead of an abrupt termination of a long-lasting friendship relationship." ~ Yossi Lapid, author of the award-winning Snowman Paul Series.

"A sweet story about Wilbur, the cutest tractor, who faces an unknown future with patience and hope - this story features Wilbur's adorable friend Hattie, who supports him along the journey into his new home."~Hollie Anne Marsh, children's author

"Wilbur, the little red tractor, is moving to his new home where a surprise is waiting for him! Though Wilbur is sorry to leave Jim, his owner, he is looking forward with hope and anticipation to his new life. This second in the "Wilbur the Tractor" series is as fun and entertaining as the first volume and a must for every little child's library. Highly recommended." MBKS

An Interview with Jim and Wilbur the Tractor

"Top o' the mornin' to you, Wilbur," said Jim, entering Wilbur's garage.  Today we're going to talk about your books."

"Hooray," said the little red tractor, bouncing all four tires. "

"I've owned you for more than five years. Tell everyone about your favorite jobs.

"Oh, most of all, I love helping you Jim. You're my best friend. But some of my favorite jobs are helping you mow the grass in the spring and summer. But that doesn't mean I rest all winter. Pushing the snow into neat little piles is so much fun. Sometimes I even pull the little cart so you can take weeds out of the garden."

"That's right, Wilbur. You do all of those jobs so well. We make a good team."

"What else happens in your first book, Wilbur?"

"I feel sad when you tell me you need a new tractor because it would be too hard for me to mow the big field where your new vegetable garden is. I thought I'd never see you again. Big tears rolled down my headlights. But you showed me there can be good things about changes. I might even make new animal friends. It was a great thing to know and I found out we will always be friends."

"That's right, Wilbur."

What happens in your second book, Wilbur's new Home?

"Different people come to see me. Some of them were grumpy and unkind, but you told me we'd find the perfect new family for me. One of the people I was too old. I ran and hid from him. Another man said he didn't like red tractors because they had bad tempers. That made me sad, but you and Hattie the Chicken told me I had to be patient and the right person would come. Our story has a happy ending."

"Yes, it does. We are both happy you found the perfect new family. And they even prepared a special surprise for you in your new home."

"Finally, could you tell everyone about the dedication of your books?"

Sure, Jim. My first book, A Tractor Named Wilbur, is dedicated to  all of the children who read my book. And the second book, Wilbur's new Home is dedicated to all of the children who are shy about making new friends. I love making new friends and I hope all of the children enjoy my books."

"Thank you for telling everyone about your new stories, Wilbur. I loved our interview. I'll see you soon."

A cute Little Story! Review by Janice Spina

Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2021

Wilbur is back again in this cute little story about the red tractor. He gets a new home and has a surprise when he arrives there. Children will love adorable little Wilbur who is shy and has difficulty meeting new people. Wilbur will teach them to be patient and learn how to adjust to new people and places. The illustrations are colorful and well done and will engage and delight children. They add depth to the story. A lovely sequel to Wilbur’s first book.

Award winning Connecticut children’s book author Deanie Humphrys-Dunne writes enchanting stories that not only entertain youngsters and share insights into developmental life lessons, but by placing the stories with animal (and mechanical!) characters, the stories become more accessible for learning. This book WILBUR’S NEW HOME is enhanced by the superb illustrations of Holly Humphrys-Bajaj, Deanie’s talented sister, and Wanda L Urabazo and is a very welcome Book 2 in the WILBUR THE TRACTOR series.

Wilbur is a red tractor whose owner, Jim McNab, is his best friend, and this time ‘round Jim joins Wilbur in cutting the grass and Jim informs Wilbur visitors are coming. Wilber is hesitant about meeting this possible new owner, but Jim reassures him, and cleans Wilbur’s tires and washes him and places his blanket over Wilbur for a good night’s rest. The next day a potential buyer for Wilbur arrives and is critical of the ‘too old’ Wilbur, but Jim protects Wilbur’s feelings, and with further support from Hattie the Chicken, Wilbur is prepared for new visitors. Compliments from Susie the squirrel boost Wilbur’s anxiety, until the next visitor, Ben Blake, arrives and is critical of Wilbur’s red color (‘red tractors have bad tempers and they misbehave’), and leaves, again hurting Wilbur’s feelings. Another day, after joyfully working the garden with Jim, and other visitor – Willy and his dog Elliot – and through interactive acts of kindness a friendship is born. The result – Wilber has found a fine new home, greeting Hattie the Chicken and new friends, and finding happiness.

This is a fine story about friendship, about enjoying chores, and about changes that can open doors for new possibilities. Children (and their reading parents!) will have fun while learning important life lessons. And…there is a little quiz at book’s end to underline new knowledge. Recommended. Grady Harp, December 21

A New Best Friend (5 stars) review by Barbara A Mojica
This is the second book in the charming Wilbur the Tractor series. Wilbur is a diligent tractor who lives with Farmer Jim. Now that the little red tractor is getting older, Jim worries that mowing the whole farm might be too difficult. So, Jim decides to sell Wilbur. Wilbur worries that a new owner will not be a good friend like Jim.

When prospective buyers come to the barn. Wilbur does not feel comfortable with them. But Jim is a good friend who wants to make sure that his shy, tractor friend will be happy and properly taken care of. Will Wilbur find a new friend and a good fit for his skills? Read this adorable picture book to find out.

Soft crayon pastels portray the mood of the story well. Young readers learn the value of true friendship and empathy for the needs and feelings of others. A beautifully told tale appropriate for primary grade and beginning chapter book readers.

This book is a cute sequel to A Tractor Named Wilbur: Friendships Last Forever (Wilbur the Tractor Book 1). Wilbur is a shy red tractor and its owner seeks to find Wilbur a new home. Wilbur is apprehensive about leaving and about who his new owner will be. Hattie the chicken offers support in the move. Recommend for your little's reading.

"An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children's (elementary age) tractor storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children's tractor fun movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars." ~Tony Parsons

"A Tractor Named Wilbur" is a heartwarming story about Wilbur the tractor and his owner, Jim. They speak to one another and Jim takes very good care of Wilbur. Wilbur loves helping and wants more jobs to do, so Jim gives him another job of pulling a cart. Then in the winter Wilbur plows the snow. The picture of Wilbur with the plow on the front is adorable. Wilbur has a cute smile.
As Wilbur ages, however, Jim is concerned. Wilbur will not be able to handle a larger job that he needs done, so he must take Wilbur to a new home where he will have less work to do and still be useful despite his age. At first Wilbur is very sad and does not want to go away from Jim and his nice, warm barn. The picture of Wilbur crying is so sad! Jim promises to give Wilbur to someone who will take very good care of him. Jim reassures Wilbur of a bright future. Wilbur will be able to make new friends and have a lot of fun in his new home. Jim promises to stay in touch and remain friends. That way Wilber will have a lot of new stories to tell Jim.
This is a very sweet story and would be perfect to tell to children who have to move or who have moved. It would also be a great story to read to kids if there is an older piece of equipment, car, truck, etc. that needs to be sold. This book would have helped me when I was little because when my parents sold our blue car, I cried my eyes out. If Wilbur was there to show me that the car was going onto new, fun adventures, I might not have been so sad.
This book would be a cute story for kids around ages 4-8. The story is a little on the long side, so younger children might not get as much out of the story as older children would.
